    1. No 2 way about it Martha you're absolutely right and I know that the world knows because when Gatineau Hills are in its full glory, it is a sigh to behold when in bloom I go on a Saturday morning because of all the buses and cars and people from all over the world come to see and take photo, and I take photos of them, unfortunately in one old laptop i had failed to copy unto a stick...ah there will be another season it's never the same the first time i had bought a new camera and it was oct 4 and I went to the Hills and it was exactly the right time, the year after I went in late Sept and the colours had faded and mostly fallen still a sight...but you never know when it will be the perfect some of my photos above were when I hit it exactly at the right time...you would love it!

    1. Oh yes coming from behind it is what held me still holding my breath when I reached the coloured tree that's when I took it, the fog made it even more beautiful thank you so much...it is slowly changing but for some reason in some places it's in full colour and others barely a hint, I'm not entirely sure of the present condition regardless of some photos that are of past years because so much has changed in the summer so much has been cut down, so I show old photos so you get the full impact , because I don't know if we will have what we've always had, there has been to many trees cut too many houses, condos built I barely recognize my town, and I'm afraid....

    1. Nifty you, I'm afraid, that there may not, see this photo it's not new but it's usually here now I'm afraid that they cut too many tree, build too many condos, I hope to God it does arrive because it's not cool here anymore so many trees have been cut so many condos have been build i show photos from before in the hope that by some miracle it will happen again, but it's not cool it's hot and humid and so far I've only seen one tree that changed, usually there are so manyI pray Doug, I'll pray for you too x

  7. How beautiful this is! I am so drawn to it. While it is technically fall, here it still feels like summer and very few leaves change color here. I am loving seeing fall through your eyes!

    1. Dear Lisa Isabella Fall usually starts early for us I've put this photo up to show what use to be as well as all the autumn photos you've seen and it's to give me hope because they have cut so many, so many trees and built condos everywhere I recognize nothing, so far I saw one , one tree full of colours, the rest is summer green hot and humid and this is not my town, but hey I have many photos of Fall and whether all beauty has been destroyed i will keep on showing the Autumn we've always had, thank you my dear

    1. Thank you so much Frank, I show my photos from the past because my town has cut down so many trees I think this one too, to build condos everywhere, so I post the photos of my town as it has always been. So far I've seen one tree...and I am afraid...and I pray that somehow it's not as bad as I think although the sound of chainsaw all summer made me want to cry out in anger...but maybe some will survive, I pray thank you Frank
